since i got home the first things i've done have been:
1st dinner: roast chicken with mashed and roasted spuds and stuffing and carrots and gravy - yummy. (my second dinner was the leftovers, even yummier - all fried together, mmmmm.)
1st friend i met up with: claire of d+d / taleweavers
1st game i played: oblivion. (then i ran out and bought the game of the year edition for knights of the nine and shivering isles. i did it that way 'cause no where just sold the 2 expansions separately)
1st time i used my new laser (debit) card: to buy shivering isles (i went crazy with my debit card in new zealand (i think $4 was the average price i used it for) the first thing i bought with money was 2 pairs of socks in penneys (primark to those of you in the uk), wow).
1st song listened to: Cocteau Twins – Aloysius (i played my top rated songs on shuffle (info thanks to last.fm))
1st movie i watched: final fantasy advent children
1st book i read: a comic - outer orbit - which i bought in dreamhaven books in minneapolis
ok - i can't think of anything else - feel free to put in additional 1sts for me.
I keep meaning to go back to playing Oblivion on the Xbox. I played it a bit on the PC when it came out but then go the xbox version with all the extra bits but just haven't put in the time needed :)
ReplyDeleteCant wait for Fallout 3 which is using the same engine.
Outer orbit any good?
outer orbit is hilarious. the main character, quinn, is such an idiot, but a loveable one. i really like the art style in it - that's really why i bought it.
ReplyDeleteoblivion is so much fun if you get into it. the main problem i have with it is that the quests are way too short and not random enough. you can really only enjoy playing it once or twice before everything becomes repetitive.
fallout 3 is made my the same company as oblivion (bethesda softworks). i havn't played any of the other fallout games, but i'm interested in this one simply to see the guys from bethesda do something other than elder scrolls.
I might check out outer orbit so. I like the lovable looser characters like Scott Pilgrim (It might be that I somehow identify with them :)
ReplyDeleteI'd say I put in a good 8hrs to my first play of it but I stayed clear of the main quest.
I played the first fallout games and loved them. The retro art style is fantastic. The only other game i played of theirs was Star Trek: Tactical Assault on the DS which was fun but limited
