whee - i'm excited

i just found out that there's a new prince of persia game coming out. oh wow. this is so cool. i totally can't wait for it (supposedly christmas this year). yeeeeee.
fangirl moment. wwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
now i'm really going to have to get a new PC. dammit. i can't afford one. i guess i have until christmas to save up. waa - it's so exciting. getting to be the prince again, scaling walls, running along ledges, doing backflips and somersaults and sneaking up on your enemies and stuff. yeay.

not much other news - i've been re-organizing my room for the last 2 days. i got new shelves (well - a shelf-kinda thing and a cupboard-kinda thing) and i've been finding homes for the clutter in my room in them. it's working out quite well, actually.

i'm building up a mild addiction to shivering isles too. i started playing last night at 10; at 12 i told myself to go to bed; i eventually got there at 1:30. terrible. i finished one quest and went to start another - but that one got really interesting so i finished it too. heh.

  1. I've given up upgrading PC's to keep up with new games, you should totally get an xbox/PS3 :)

  2. i like my mouse too much. i really don't want to have to learn to get good with a console controller.

  3. Besides MMO's almost all major games come out on consoles and you always know they'll run. And both systems have usb ports that will recognise a mouse, dont think they'll work with many games but thats not the point :)

  4. I'm not anti-PC, when i wrote that i was sitting mi my sitting room with 2 desktops and 3 laptops running 3 different OS's :)

Just if money is an issue a xbox could be a good alternative.

  5. I completely agree with you to be honest. If my main addiction wasn't strategy games I'd have converted to the ease and convenience of consoles a long time ago like my brother did.

I also like tinkering with tech a bit (not too much) so PCs leave me have that, I almost enjoy fixing them when something goes wrong.

I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to get into PC gaming if strategy (or possibly multiplayer FPS games) weren't their main gaming interests.

  6. Oh, and, Happy Birthday (tomorrow), I won't make it out for the weekend. Too much studying needs doing and if I go out I won't be up for doing much of anything on Sunday.

  7. I used to be the same, building/repairing my PC/Mac but I just reached a point where i didn’t have that free time (or Patience) to do that anymore. That’s a reason I have become much more of a console head :)

  9. Yeah, I reached that point too. I (luckily) aren't too fussed about graphics and performance and tend to play games that aren't pushing the boundaries of technology either so I can get away with being quite lazy about keeping technology up to date.
