shopping

nano goes well. it's my first topic of this post, because i have made a decision to update my journal, rather than get a few words towards today's word count. i'm on target, with my 1667 words per day.

i went on a mini buying spree yesterday. i went into town (dublin) and bout lots of underwear (including a new pyjamas), a nice zip-up top and needles and thread. ooh, and blue fairy lights to make the sitting room look nice. lordkilljoy's reaction was quite reserved, so i'm not really sure what he thinks of them. well, i'm sure he thinks i'm totally crazy, but i amuse him, so he keeps me :)

i'm still playing fallout 3 - progressing really really slowly, i only reached level 4 after a week of playing or whatever. i've started soul bubbles on ds too. it's really cute and fun. thanks to frosthearted for telling me about it.

hmmm... i don't know what else i have to say. i suppose i'll just go.

  1. So is Fallout 3 any good?

Its one of a number of games coming out recently I plan on getting including End War, Gears2, Empire Total War, Fable 2, etc.

Speaking of DS's I haven't seen any good games for it recently. Still waiting for Bloodbowl to come of for it.

  2. to answer your fallout 3 question i need to ramble a little...
have you seen flight of the conchords? (please say yes, or this will make no sense). you know their one fan in that - the girl? well my love for bethesda is like her love for the band. i am totally infatuated with bethesda and every game they make. so my answer is totally biased when i say it is totally amazing.
hmmm... nah! it is good. i love the setting, but then i played one and two and loved them as well (one more than 2). i like the character creation, the way they have clothes that you can have your character wander around in (i found a really pretty spring dress the other day). the towns are well designed (megaton is cool). the VATS targeting system makes the game far more fun that just a normal shooter. i havn't gotten into it enough to see how the quests progress, but i've enjoyed the ones i've played so far. there is a fun range of npcs to talk to, even if they swear far too much. oh well.

as for ds games... do you like puzzles? professor layton is the best puzzle game ever. i enjoyed drawn to life and am enjoying soul bubbles. any of the lego games are good fun too - star wars, indy, batman...

right, i think my comment is long enough now.

  3. Unfortunately I haven't seen that so i doesn't understand. :(

But the fact that you were able to go around in a spring dress sounds interesting. I might pick it up after christmas if santa doesn't get it for me.

I'll also have to check out ProfLay as it sounds interesting.

    Thanks for the tips.
