twilight

lordkilljoy and i went to see twilight last night. it's a film for die hard romantics and dreamers, and since i am both, i loved it. and of course, because of that i received much mockage from lainey316 and goblin_insane (and lordkilljoy, a little) about my closet emo-ness. i will freely admit right here and now that i could be an emo person, but i don't have the temperament for it. that whole immature egotistical self-pity all the time never appealed to me.
but anyway. i thought the film was wonderful and pretty and happy, nothing too serious or thought-provoking, just good old fashioned vampire romance. and edward's family were hilarious (and sort of cool too).
i've had scenes from it flashing through my head since last night, mostly of trees and hills and lakes and open fields. i wonder what this says about me. i think i may need to find a park nearby and hang out there somewhat often.

i don't have much other news. i have time off work for warpcon (yeay), so that should be fun - getting down to cork to see everyone. and i think barry's game will be on that weekend too - that would be great.

in totally other news... lordkilljoy bought rock band last night. now my dreams of being a lead singer can finally come true!!

now i really can't think of anything else to say. bye.

  1. Well you are a consequentialist, so emo wouldn't be you're thing, plus you smile too much, so that would go against the whole, world doesn't understand me I cut myself to feel aliuve frame of mind. You're cool the way you are, and don't need to classify yourself into any teen fads

Except for the SPARKLING IN SUNLIGHT INSTEAD OF FLAMY DEATH part, obviously.
