moving in continues

Loads happened today as well (as yesterday). We opened a bank account, got a tour of the area, looked at sat navs so that we could drive into town, but then just worked off a map.

we went to trader joe's and got dinner. we went to the apple store and i got an ipod nano. it's red, and small, and insanely cute. it plays the radio. i love it. i don't have a computer yet to sync it with, so at the moment radio is all i have. but it's cool, you can do live pause of the radio. lordkilljoy got a macbook air, but that's not nearly as exciting.

smackdown is on right now, it's a little distracting. lordkilljoy just turned on the tv to watch it (figuring it would be on at 8) to find out that it is just ending. it started at 6. that seems very early to me.
anyway.

we cooked dinner at home today. we had stuffed chops from trader joe's with sweet potatoes roasted with oil and spices. we bought canola oil in trader joe's too. and lemonade and chocolate and crisps and salsa. yummy.

we're trying to get our tivo working. after 2 calls to comcast and a trip to their shop about 15 minutes away, we still don't have it sorted. lordkilljoy might have to do it from work. we missed burn notice last night. we remembered it was on too late, so we really need to get our tivo working.

right so. i don't really know what else to say. i'm kind of tired. 8 o clock is sort of fading time. i managed to stay up until 9:30 last night. i'm going to force myself to stay up until 10 tonight. 10 is okay. 11 would be better, but i'll never stay up that late.

american ads are funny. i watch them and laugh.

right - i really have to go now.

  1. Right this may be a silly question but what's a tivo?

I like the fact that you looked at sat navs and then worked off the map. You could buy your self a HTC desire and just use its one, its rather cool. So did you go into the city center then?

That reminds me, what's your car like and is it strange being on the wrong side of the road again?

  2. Shop till you drop

Well you must have bought all to Albuquerque by now. I didn't know what a tivo was so I looked it up. Have you got it working. Like Askea I was wondering what kind of a car you got. When are you taking your driving lessons?

  3. a tivo is like a sky box - it has a hard drive and you can record shows so you don't miss them, but it's not controlled by any cable company.

phones here are horribly expensive, and monthly plans are expensive too. even pay as you go is a bit costly.

the car is fine. it's a nissan verso (it looks a bit boxy). driving on the wrong side is fine on the main road, but it gets a bit confusing in car parks.
ooh - we looked into getting me a driving licence yesterday and i can't get one on my visa. i was a bit sad. we had planned to do mad road trips that i would share the driving, but now we can't.
